2 CVO member wounded in Shooting Incident

PITOGO, Zamboanga del Sur – Two CVO were wounded in Shooting incident transpired at Purok 1, Barangay Lower Panikian, Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 7:00 AM of May 8, 2019.

Police Brigadier General Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director identified the victims as

-Roland Oras Tambiling , 49 years old, male, married, farmer and

-Emillano Dela Cruz Bagares, 42 years old, male, single, fisherman, both CVO members and are residents of Purok 1, Barangay Lower Panikian, Pitogo, Zamboanga del Sur.

The victim Roland Tambiling sustained one (1) gunshot wound on his left thigh. While Emelio Dela Cruz was hit in his right arm which are immediately brought to Pitogo Municipal Rural Health Office for first aid and subsequently forwarded to Dao Medical Center, Barangay Dao, Pagadian City for proper medical treatment.  

Recovered from the crime scene were 16 pieces empty shells and 1 dud bullet of caliber 5.56 rifle and 7 pieces of empty shells for M14 rifle.

The unidentified suspects were wearing army uniform and a bonnet on their face and allegedly released series of gunfire towards the house hitting the victims and immediately ran away towards barangay Matin-ao, Pitogo , Zamboanga del Sur after the incident.

Farmer Held for the crime of Homicide

PITOGO, Zamboanga del Sur/ CLARIN, Misamis Occidental (March 24, 2019) - Joint PNP Personnel of Pitogo MPS and Clarin MPS (Missamis Occidental) conducted police operation on wanted person at Purok 3, Barangay Sibasi, Clarin, Misamis Occidental at about 1:30 PM of March 23, 2019.

The operation was resulted in the arrest of Eto Lago Y Sumapad, 47 years old, single, farmer, and a resident of Purok 3, Barangay Sibasi, Clarin, Misamis Occidental.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Homicide under Criminal Case no. RTC-12-090, issued by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur, dated January 28, 2013, with bail bond recommended of Forty Thousand pesos (Php40,000.00).

The arrested person brought to Clarin MPS waiting for transport to Pitogo MPS, Zamboanga del Sur.

Murder Suspect Cuffed

PITOGO, Zamboaga del Sur (Feb. 14, 2019) - Joint PNP personnel of Pitogo Municipal Police Station, Zamboanga Del Sur Police Office-Intel Branch and Magsaysay Municipal Police Station of Lanao Del Norte conducted Intel driven operation at Barangay Daan Campo, Magsaysay, Lanao Del Norte at about 6:15 AM of February 13, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Romelo Hilamon Y Balingit, aka Taloy Hilamon 25 years old, single, carpenter by occupation and a resident of aforesaid place by virtue of warrant of arrest docketed under Criminal Case Nr. 14-111 issued by Acting Presiding Judge Felix B. Rodriguez Jr. RTC 9th Judicial Region of San Miguel Zamboanga del Sur for the crime of Murder with No Bail recommended.

The arrested suspect was temporarily detain at Pitogo Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.

Shooting Incident

PITOGO, Zamboanga del Sur (Jan. 18, 2019) - Shooting incident transpired at Purok 7, Barangay Balong Balong, Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 7:40 AM of January 17, 2019.

Initial investigation conducted by Pitogo MPS disclosed victim identified as Romeo Onggay Sauro aka “Loklok”, 52 years old, married, farmer and resident of same place.

Prior to the incident at about 7:00 AM of January 17, 2019 the victim went to Barangay Poblacion Pitogo, Zamboanga del Sur to send his daughter in school subsequently while the victim was driving his single motorcycle travelling on his way back home, thereafter about 7:40 AM same date the neighborhood heard several shots which seems originated near the house of the victim.

The victim sustained gunshot wounds (GSW) at the back of his head and different parts of his body that caused his sudden death.

The suspects was allegedly fled towards Barangay Tipange, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur sailed with two undetermined motorized pump boat.

Recovered from the crime scene is one (1) fired cartridge case of caliber 45 which is collected by SOCO provincial crime laboratory. Motive of the incident is still undetermined.
